Dr. Alexandra Bascom

Dr. Alexandra Bascom joined the phenomenal group of Urologic Surgeons in the Comox Valley in 2019. She completed medical school and residency in Edmonton, Alberta, followed by fellowships in both Oncology and Reconstructive Urologic Surgery in Calgary, AB. Her urologic expertise includes female and male reconstruction, including surgery for incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, post-prostatectomy incontinence, and penile prosthesis for erectile dysfunction. Dr. Bascom is also involved in all general urologic care, including prostate/bladder/kidney cancer, kidney stones, benign prostatic hypertrophy, voiding dysfunction, and Peyronie’s disease.

When not in the hospital, Dr. Bascom can be found in the mountains or on her bicycle. She enjoys spending time with her family and her dog, Rainha. Watch for her out on the bike trails in Cumberland or enjoying a walk on Air Force Beach.

Dr. Aaron Clark

Dr. Aaron Clark has worked in the Comox Valley at North Island Urology since 2010 after graduating from the University of Ottawa urology residency training. He is aurologic surgeon with expertise in oncology surgery (Prostate, Bladder, Kidney, and Testis) and benign urologic disease including benign prostatic hypertrophy (BPH), laser stone surgery, and male and female incontinence. Dr. Clark has a special interest in advanced minimally invasive urologic surgery (MIS). Dr. Clark is a clinical instructor at the University of British Columbia, and is involved in teaching urology and family medicine residents as well as medical students. He loves living in the Comox Valley and enjoys all of the great opportunities the region has to offer including amazing cycling, skiing and water sports.

Dr. William Tinmouth

Dr. William Tinmouth has been working in the Comox Valley since 2005. He completed his residency training at the University of Alberta, followed by Fellowship training at the Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. There, he specialized in Endourology and Stone Disease. Dr. Tinmouth has a specific interest and expertise in the management of complex kidney stones, in addition to urologic oncology, and general urology.
 
When not in the office, you may see Dr. Tinmough on his trusty steed, cycling through the Comox Valley. He is exceptionally fast, so you may only get a quick wave as he rides by. He loves spending time with his family and is often accompanied by his golden retriever and two French bulldogs.

Dr. Jeffrey Zorn

Dr. Jeffrey Zorn joined Drs Clark and Tinmouth at North Island Urology in August of 2014, after completing his residency training at the University of Alberta. Originally hailing from Tisdale, Saskatchewan, Dr. Zorn has an interest in Urologic Oncology, minimally invasive surgery, in addition to general urologic practice.

Dr. Zorn is a celebrated hockey player. He has received a lifetime achievement award for his role on the Bears Hockey team at the University of Alberta where he won a National Championship prior to playing professionally in Norway.  Now, Dr. Zorn can be seen on the ice with one of our local men's teams in Comox. During the summer months, you’ll find Dr. Zorn on the beach with his wife, Laura, and their dogs, or going for a hike in the mountains.
